Our Bearish Intraday Screener tracks 3000+ NSE & BSE stocks in near real-time and highlights the top symbols showing the strongest downward momentum. The rankings update automatically every minute to reflect which stocks are experiencing increasing selling pressure and declining price performance during market hours.
Understanding Each Column in the Screener
Stock Name
This column lists the stocks currently showing bearish momentum. The order keeps changing constantly — stocks showing stronger downside pressure move to the top, while weakening ones move lower in the table.
5m %, 10m %, 20m %, 40m % Percentage Change
These fields display price percentage change across rolling time windows. Instead of fixed time blocks, rolling windows capture early weakness faster.
If values continue to decrease gradually (5m → 10m → 20m → 40m), it indicates strengthening downward sentiment rather than a single sharp fall.
Buy % – Sell %
Represents the share of buying versus selling volume right now. A higher Sell % compared to Buy % indicates stronger selling dominance during that minute.
Buy ₹ – Sell ₹
Shows the estimated invested value behind buying and selling trades. If Sell ₹ increases consistently, it suggests higher participation from sellers, especially when the price declines at the same time.
Volume Acceleration
Reflects whether selling pressure is strengthening or cooling down. It is calculated using minute-by-minute change in traded volume:
- Negative acceleration → selling pressure increasing rapidly
- Positive acceleration → pressure slowing down
Price Direction
Shows whether the latest traded price is below or above the previous reading:
- Down → Last price < previous price
- Up → Last price > previous price
- No change → No price movement
Buy % – Sell % (15-Minute Rolling)
This metric is calculated over the last 15-minute rolling window rather than a single minute. It helps identify whether selling has remained stronger for a longer period.
Buy ₹ – Sell ₹ (15-Minute Rolling)
Displays the approximate invested value behind buying and selling across the last 15 minutes — useful for understanding sustained long-duration bearish participation.
How the Screener Detects Strong Bearish Momentum
- Percentage change becomes increasingly negative across multiple windows
- Sell % remains consistently higher than Buy %
- Volume acceleration stays negative
- Price direction remains “Down” without frequent reversals
- 15-minute Sell ₹ and Sell % values support the trend
When these conditions appear together, it indicates selling pressure strengthening over time — however, the screener is designed strictly for market research and should not be considered financial advice.
Data Refresh Frequency
All data values update continuously during market hours using log calculations in near real-time. This ensures that the bearish rankings always represent current market conditions.
